      Our story

      45 years,
      one line.

      1980

      On site for the first time

      Umapathy K joins Crest Constructions, part of the VST Motors / India Garage group.

      1980–97

      Showrooms, workshops, floors

      Automobile showrooms and workshops in Chennai, Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Trichy, Salem, Cuddalore and Pondicherry. Industrial floors as far as Goa, Mumbai, Vadodara, Vapi, Jamshedpur and Kolkata.

      1998

      Janani Constructions begins

      Founded in Chennai in January 1998, with the founder planning and supervising every project.

      ~2010

      Madras Tools & Tackles

      A complete office building and shed at Padur, then a second shed with flooring. Earlier, 40,000+ sq.ft of warehouse, workshop and offices in Chennai.

      2010s

      UltraTech RMC plants

      Complete civil works for RMC plants in Chennai, Bangalore, Vijayawada, Mysore, Hyderabad and more, plus concrete roads at Aditya Birla Group plants.

      Recent

      TVS Infrastructure, Chakan

      A full warehouse package in Pune: 4 lakh litre RCC underground sump, steel-fibre floor rectification, PEB painting and external development.

      2024

      Henkel, Sriperumbudur

      We become a regular civil contractor at Henkel's adhesives plant, starting with a 1.5 lakh litre UG sump, hydrant painting and a CSR school restroom block.

      2025

      Lucas TVS, Maraimalai Nagar

      Civil, structural and site works begin, leading to a new canteen and stores, container foundations, an approach road and paver yards.

      2026

      From drawing to handover

      BOQ and structural design added as a service, starting with the NLC water purifier plant. Every job runs on digital estimates, daily reports and clean documentation.
